We will be having our annual club Picnic on Sunday, September 7th at Paxton Ramsey Park.  This is at the same place we have been having our picnic and is located on Price Rd. in Loveland – Directions. 

The club provides hamburgers,hot dogs and drinks.  Please bring a dessert or a covered dish.  This is a nice family friendly event so bring them out!

Calling All MARC Members

The Milford Amateur Radio Club will operate from Stonelick State Park during
the Ohio State Parks On The Air contest on Saturday, September 6, 2008.

We will be setting up near the beach starting around 10:00 AM and operating
between noon and 8:00 PM.

We plan on having at least two stations on the air. If you run HF mobile  you
could operate from your vehicle.

Jerry AF8V is bringing an all band vertical. Contacts with stations in  other
Ohio State Parks count as multipliers so we are setting up a couple of  NVIS
antennas in an attempt to keep some RF within the state of Ohio.

Bill KC8RUG and Barb KA8AXY plan on bringing a grill, so if you come out
bring something to throw on the grill if you plan on being there at dinner time.

We need operators, let Jerry AF8V or I know if you plan on being there.  Come
for the whole time or a couple of hours. If you have a rig you want to use
bring it, if you have an NVIS antenna bring that.
