Milford Winter Guard Competition
Provided by Bill Schroeder, WS6K
MARC has once again been asked to work the Winter Guard competition at
the Milford High School on Saturday, March 21, 2009. This is our BIG
public service event for the year.
MARC provides communications for the event and coordinates the movement
of units between the warm-up rooms and ready line. All assignments are
inside.
There are currently 53 units signed up for the event which starts at
12:00 PM and ends around 9:30 PM. This is probably the largest event we
have worked.
A minimum of 7 people are required to cover the various assignments and
we plan to set up shifts based on how many people volunteer.
Plan A:
Number of volunteers: 14
Number of shifts: 2
Shift length: 5 1/2 hours
Shift A-1: Â 11:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Shift A-2: Â 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM
Plan B:
Number of volunteers: 21
Number of shifts: 3
Shift length: 4 hours
Shift B-1: Â 11:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Shift B-2: Â 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Shift B-3: Â 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM
Plan C: Any combination of Plan A and Plan B.
Additional information about the event can be found at:
Tristatecircuit.com
We will be given vouchers good for a sandwich and drink.
If you can work this event please contact Bill, WS6K, by email:
ws6k@arrl.net or on the MARC repeater. Be sure to
specify which shift you would like to work or if you are available as
needed. Please include your call sign and a telephone number in your
email.
